This is the product that started it all for me some 20 years ago. Non toxic laundry detergent made with our tallow soap.

(In case you're saying "but borax is a chemical".... please see the link below. I actually soak in it and have consumed it as well).
Here's my FAVORITE part.....I have ZERO mildew smell in my HE washer using this. Every other detergent I've used (even other "clean" brands) made my front load washer stink. I can also leave wet laundry in the washer for a full day without it smelling like mildew. Also, the packaging is a paper envelope - not a huge plastic jug that will end up in a landfill.
I use 2-3 tablespoons per load. Each bag is 1 lb, 10 oz.
