Dish washing soap bar
$7.00
I wasn't sure about how well this would work but I knew I wanted to find a replacement for Dawn that could cut through grease. Making tallow products brings a LOT of grease with it! But the "clean" brands were useless on making suds and cutting through tough grease.
Viola'.....a very simple dish bar soap that is the bomb diggety, cuts through grease BETTER than Dawn, makes tons of suds, and comes with zero packaging. Made with lime juice, lime zest, citric acid, coconut oil, castor oil, lemon essential oil, mountain spring water and sodium hydroxide (lye) - that's it!
You can use a dish brush or a sponge but I prefer to use a sponge. Wet the sponge, rub it over the bar of soap, and wash away. When you're done, I would recommend that you wipe off the top of the soap and don't leave it sitting in a puddle of water.
If you're unsure why you shouldn't be using commercial dish soaps - here's an article about what's hiding in your favorite brand of dish soap.
